Our crest

Inspire · Nurture · Empower

Every child who comes through our doors is a little royal. Our crest carries our promise to them and to you: building young minds, creating bright futures.

Inspire

Beautiful materials and real work that spark curiosity.

Nurture

Warm, patient care for every child, every day.

Empower

Independence and confidence that last beyond Grade R.

Our philosophy

Every child learns differently, and at a different time

Traditional schooling moves every child through the same structured curriculum at the same pace. We do things differently. At Royal Kids, we see children as explorers with their own interests. Our classrooms are prepared so that each child can choose meaningful work, repeat it, master it and move on when they are ready.

“Parents can expect their children will receive a differentiated education geared toward creating the optimal outcomes for the child.”

“The child gives us a beautiful lesson: that in order to form and maintain our intelligence, we must use our hands.”

What is Montessori?

A child-centred approach, more than a century old

Montessori education was created by Dr Maria Montessori, the first woman to qualify as a physician in Italy. Her work with children drew her into child development, and in 1907 she opened her first school in Rome.

She believed children learn best when they own their learning. That means a prepared environment, freedom to choose their work, and guides who observe and support rather than lecture. Today her approach is used in schools all over the world.

Our values

What we hold on to

Respect

For each child's pace, personality and choices.

Independence

“Help me to do it myself”: real skills, real confidence.

Warmth

A safe, loving, nurturing home-away-from-home.

Curiosity

A lifelong love of learning, discovery and play.
